Overview

Marble is a Seattle startup, co-founded in 2020 by Daniel Li and Daniel Kim, that builds software-enabled rental management systems aimed at smaller landlords. The product handles tenant placement, rent collection, and maintenance requests to replace tasks typically done by landlords or property managers. Marble charges a $50-per-month subscription and currently manages more than 600 homes across over 20 U.S. cities. The company reports about $30,000 in monthly revenue, is gross margin positive, and makes money on a unit basis but did not disclose overall profitability. Marble is working to improve its fintech stack to reduce payout times to users from about three days to under one day. It targets landlords with fewer than 20 properties and competes with startups such as Innago, RentRedi and Havium, as well as established players like Avail and Apartment.com’s rental manager tool. The founders say the idea grew from a personal experience with an unresponsive landlord, and the company went through Y Combinator’s accelerator program last summer.
