Marimaca Copper focuses on advancing copper projects in Chile, with primary assets including Pampa Medina and the Marimaca oxide deposit (MOD). The company raised approximately US$52 million through a placement of certificates representing shares to fund near-term activities. Net proceeds are designated for exploration at Pampa Medina and the sulphide target at Marimaca, plus detailed design, engineering and workflows for the MOD. The placement attracted strong demand from new institutional and experienced investors as well as existing shareholders, with demand exceeding the target volume. Pampa Medina is located in the Atacama Desert about 28 kilometres east of the Marimaca oxide deposit. Marimaca highlighted the project’s strategic proximity to nearby operations such as Sierra Gorda, Mantos Blancos, Spence and Antucoya.
