Marketing Artificial Intelligence Institute is an online education and conference business led by founder and CEO Paul Roetzer that helps marketing leaders adopt AI. The organization runs the annual Marketing Artificial Intelligence Conference (MAICON) in Cleveland, Ohio, and operates the AI Academy for Marketers online learning platform and community. It is supported by corporate sponsorship deals with Drift, Persado, HubSpot, MarketMuse and other AI technology companies. The Institute closed a $1M seed funding round and says it looks to accelerate growth on the heels of that raise. The company appointed Cathy McPhillips as chief growth officer to drive revenue growth, community building, and internal alignment of marketing, sales, service and operations. McPhillips will focus on expanding access to AI education through MAICON (virtual Sept. 13–14) and the AI Academy for Marketers.
