Marlin Protocol builds relayer networks and a bandwidth-sharing marketplace to increase throughput and speeds across multiple blockchains. The company is headquartered in San Francisco and Bangalore and is led by CEO Siddhartha Dutta. Marlin raised a $3 million seed round from Binance Labs, Arrington XRP Capital, Electric Capital, NGC and others. The startup plans to launch a public testnet in two to three months and targets a mainnet launch sometime in 2020. Marlin aims to introduce a large, blockchain-agnostic network of relayers that run alongside staking and mining so nodes can be paid for bandwidth and to reduce single points of failure. It has run services on private test networks with partners including WandX, Murmur, Blockcloud, Matic and Holochain.
