Martin Aircraft Co develops the Martin Jetpack, a commercial personal jetpack capable of roughly 30 minutes of flight, a 30 km range and speeds up to 74 km/h. The company is targeting the light‑helicopter market across government (surveillance and remote operations), first responders (emergency, security and rescue) and recreational users (tourism and flight schools). Martin Aircraft says it has 40 pre-orders representing about $6 million in sales, plus a further $20 million of serious interest and $42.9 million of potential pipeline orders. The company also reports more than 100,000 enquiries for its jetpack. Management has signalled plans for an IPO and a $20 million ASX raise later in the year and has appointed legal and accounting advisers to support that process. Funds from recent financing are intended to commercialize the jetpack and cover ongoing costs.
