Marut Drones, founded in 2019 and based in Hyderabad, develops agricultural drones and related services aimed at improving farm productivity. Its products include the DGCA Type Certified AG365H (used for tasks from fish feeding to pesticide spraying) and a fleet of 750 drones operating across 14 states. The company employs over 200 professionals and is launching 17 drone academies while partnering with Indian research institutions on R&D projects such as direct seeding and crop monitoring. Marut plans to expand its channel partner network, open service centers and Drone-as-a-Service hubs in Tier II and III cities, and foster drone entrepreneurship through hiring and training programs. Management has set a revenue target of INR 1,000 crore over the next five years. The strategy emphasizes both product development and human-capital investment to drive adoption among farmers and address rural operational challenges.
