Massive Health is a Dogpatch Labs startup co-founded by Aza Raskin and Sutha Kamal that is developing mobile apps to improve health behavior. The company says it will apply crowd-sourcing, game mechanics, social networking and big-data techniques to create tight feedback loops and deep insight into the body-as-interface. Founders aim to address the 15% of patients who account for 90% of U.S. healthcare costs. Massive Health is currently operating in stealth to avoid setting expectations while it tackles behavior change. The company plans to use the recently announced funding to hire and build out product. Massive Health intends to come out of stealth sometime this year.
