Mavatar Technologies develops a free iPad app and web browser add-on that let consumers compare items across multiple retailers and search valid coupons and promo codes. Discounts found by the app are automatically applied to selected items in the cart. The product also lets users create a single wishlist across stores and store personal coupons in one place. Supported retailers include Macy’s, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Banana Republic, Gap, Old Navy, Bloomingdale’s, Athleta, Bergdorf Goodman, Horchow, Last Call, Piperlime, Saks Fifth Avenue, Levi’s and Quiksilver. The company is working on increasing the number of partners. Mavatar is led by co-founder and CEO Dr. Brom Mahbod and is based in Menlo Park, California.
