Founded in 1995 by Gregg Rochna with a single helicopter, it has grown to operate 47 helicopters and five airplanes and is described as one of the largest aviation-based tourism companies. The company emphasizes a premium, VIP customer experience in its sightseeing operations. A $2.5 million investment announced by Advantage Capital is intended to help Maverick weather the economic downturn attributed to COVID-19 and retain nearly 300 Nevada employees. The funding, provided through Nevada New Markets Jobs Act-related channels and the Silver State Growth Capital Initiative, supplies additional working capital to support continued growth. Management said the investment provides stability to maintain momentum after several years of growth.
