Maverick Medical AI closed a $5M Seed funding round to support expansion of its operations and business reach. The company is commercial-stage and New York–based, with locations in Israel and the US. Founded in 2018 by Yossi Shahak and Michael Brozino, it offers a SaaS platform called mCoder™ that understands unstructured patient reports and autonomously codes them for reimbursement claims. The platform uses advanced artificial intelligence and deep learning technology and enables generation of Synthetic data. mCoder™ has been validated and used by several U.S. healthcare providers and competes in the $16.4 billion U.S. medical coding market (2020 figures).
