MaxTradeIn operates a free online marketplace that gives consumers a 48-hour listing period to receive multiple offers from trusted local franchise dealers. The platform is designed to eliminate haggling over trade-in value and to maximize consumers' returns while providing dealers high-quality leads. Dealerships subscribe to the service to acquire used-car inventory, reduce auction costs and lower customer acquisition expenses. Since launching in Indianapolis in late 2012, the company says nearly 100 franchise dealers in Indianapolis, Cincinnati and Louisville have made more than $60 million in offers through the site. The founding team has more than 50 years of combined automotive sales leadership, and co-founder Justin Bates serves as CEO. MaxTradeIn plans to use new investment to fuel growth and continued expansion into new markets, including its newest market in Columbus, Ohio.
