Overview
MDClone’s core product is the MDClone ADAMS Platform, a self‑service data analytics environment that enables clinicians and healthcare professionals to explore and act on healthcare data while protecting patient privacy. The platform includes synthetic‑data capabilities and supports cross‑institutional exploration to accelerate research, improve operations, and drive better patient outcomes. The company plans to expand the platform into new verticals including Life Science and Real World Evidence (RWE) and to enter new regional markets. MDClone said it will use new funding to continue platform development and to hire key roles to support growth. Revenues more than doubled over the past year, driven by new customers in the U.S. and Canada. Founded in Israel in 2016, MDClone serves major health systems, federal agencies including the VA and NIH, and academic research organizations. MDClone operates a data platform centered on a healthcare-oriented data lake and discovery tool. Its patented Synthetic Data Engine produces synthetic data so caregivers and researchers can access on-demand, self-service healthcare data without IT mediators and without risking patient privacy. The platform enables rapid self-service exploration of care paths for populations of interest, aiming to accelerate insights while fully protecting patient privacy. Founded in 2016 and based in Beer-Sheva, Israel, MDClone has expanded to the U.S. and counts clients including Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Intermountain Healthcare and the Regenstrief Institute, as well as Rambam, Sheba, Tel-Aviv Sourasky, Maccabi, Clalit and Assuta in Israel. The company closed a $26M Series B and plans to use the funds to further develop its platform, build new products and approaches leveraging data across its global network, and accelerate sales and marketing. MDClone provides a healthcare big-data solution built on proprietary technology for longitudinal data representation and synthetic data generation. The company released its first product in February 2017 and counts most of Israel’s healthcare system as customers. In January 2018 MDClone signed its first major U.S. deal with Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. The startup plans to use new funding to continue platform development and to expand globally. MDClone was founded in 2016 by CEO Ziv Ofek, CTO Luz Erez and CFO Boaz Gur-Lavie. The company raised $15m to support these efforts.
