MEALLOGIX
600 B Street Suite 300, San Diego, CA, 92101, United States
Overview
Meallogix provides an end-to-end ERP and e-commerce platform for meal-prep companies, automating order intake, ingredient conversion, shopping lists, nutrition label creation, recipe costing, and delivery logistics. The platform also operates a supplier marketplace that can save enterprise users up to 15% on ingredient costs and shows per-meal profit margins. Meallogix launched a minimum viable product in July 2020, gained quick traction, and secured a partnership with DoorDash. Its primary customers are independently owned meal-prep businesses with fewer than 10 employees, and the company currently has more than 400 customers on a waitlist. The startup announced $1.7 million in pre-Series A funding and has total funding of $3 million. Meallogix plans to use the capital to enhance its front- and back-end ERP, expand into new U.S. markets, launch an online learning platform for the segment, and release Version 2.0 to scale onboarding. Meallogix provides a full-suite ERP platform that digitizes meal-prep operations including supply-chain management, recipe costing, nutrition label creation, shopping lists, delivery options, and analytics. The platform integrates with restaurant-style ERP systems and the company lists partnerships with DoorDash, Sysco, Reinhart Foodservice, and AdvancePierre Foods. Launched in 2019 and headquartered in Downtown San Diego, Meallogix charges $149 per month and reports more than 200 paying customers with roughly 100 on a waitlist. The startup employs 25 people and positions itself as a go-to solution to improve quality of life for Meal Preparation Operators and set the industry standard. Founder and CEO Ted Stearns, who previously launched venture-backed startups including Assurance, recently added Troy Underwood as CTO. The company plans to use the new funding to build out its platform, hire additional staff, and expand partnerships.
