Overview
Medalogix develops predictive analytics and data-science products for home health and hospice providers to create clinical programs, manage large populations, and drive value to strategic partners. Founded in 2012 and led by CEO Elliott Wood, the company has partnered with Encompass Health on product development since 2016. The firms co-developed Medalogix Care, an analytical tool that delivers evidence-based, patient-specific recommended care plans and clinical decision support. Medalogix Care also provides a basis for interdisciplinary collaboration and ongoing cross-functional case management throughout the episode of care. The company is assisting Encompass Health in preparing for the Patient-Driven Groupings Model for Medicare patients expected to take effect Jan. 1, 2020. Medalogix received a minority equity investment from Encompass Health; the amount was not disclosed. Medalogix is a software-as-a-service company offering predictive modeling tools tailored to the post-acute care sphere. Its two primary products, Home and Bridge, use data to help providers reduce readmissions (Home) and identify patients ready to transition to hospice care (Bridge). The company was founded in 2012 by Dan Hogan, who serves as president and CEO. Medalogix says the hospice and palliative care industries are growing and that its tools help end-of-life providers make sound choices. The company has experienced rapid growth in client count and employees—it has doubled staff since December 2013—and plans to move into a larger office in September. The recent financing is intended to build on momentum and support that expansion.
