Medixine offers the Medixine Suite, a communication, monitoring and collaboration platform for healthcare workers with video appointments, secure chat and messaging, health questionnaires, remote monitoring and automated screening. The company began in 2000 as a consultancy founded by Dr. Tapio Jokinen and now focuses on connected care tools to lighten the load on clinicians. Medixine covers 2.5 million patients across the UK, Spain, Portugal, Finland and Denmark and is used by organisations including Nestlé Health Science, the NHS, the Finnish Student Healthcare Service, Linde and the northern and southern hospital areas of Denmark. The firm says there is growing demand for individual, preventative and remote care, a trend accelerated by COVID-19, which supports adoption of its suite. The company plans to use the new funds to propel its international presence—particularly in the UK and Central Europe—and to further develop new offerings within the Medixine Suite.
