Medocity develops the iCancer Health suite of mobile apps to help cancer patients track side effects, daily wellbeing, medication refills and adherence, nutrition intake, and local support networks. The platform includes a symptom checker that issues guidelines and alerts, plus a virtual medicine cabinet for managing refills and adherence. The company recently added Medocity MD, a clinician-facing app for real-time patient monitoring, vitals tracking, and care coordination. Medocity MD delivers real-time interventions using a rule-based engine and evidence-based guidelines and transmits passive and active monitoring with automated health alerts. The company has an eight-member board (several directors previously worked at Glowpoint) and is led by founder and CEO Raj Agarwal, who previously spent eight years in oncology and served as CFO and global head of strategy and operations for Novartis’ biologics division. Medocity raised $1.6M to support its mobile-health offerings and efforts to help patients and clinicians manage the complexities of cancer treatment and track progress.
