Medtep develops a technology solution focused on monitoring the prevention and treatment of diseases. Its platform lets users provide data and integrates that information with medical protocols for pathologies and treatments. The company was founded in Barcelona in 2011 by Jabob Suñol and Pablo Pantaleoni and initially raised €50,000 from Enisa and €150,000 from business angels. After a $2 million first round led by Stella Maris Partners, Medtep moved its legal and commercial headquarters to Silicon Valley and opened a delegation in Mexico. Barcelona continues to host a team of more than 25 people dedicated to product development and innovation. Medtep reported $350,000 in revenue in 2014, expected to double that figure in 2015, and aims to surpass $10 million within three years.
