Meiweibuyongdeng is a restaurant booking app launched in 2013. The platform enables users to book restaurants and places an emphasis on reducing wait times for dining. In May 2018 the company closed a Series D1 equity round of RMB400 million (US$63 million). That round valued the startup at RMB4 billion (US$631 million). Previous investors include Meituan‑Dianping, Baidu and Alibaba’s local services platform Koubei. The company is planning to open a shared kitchen where customers can order and share food.
