Membran-i developed the MAI negotiation platform to structure B2B demand and offers and enable anonymous, real-time negotiations across buyers and suppliers. The company operates a SaaS model and uses a proprietary AI, AIN², to analyze quantity, logistics, price, payment terms and quality to find optimal matches. In two years of operation the platform has been validated by large companies across sectors and reports reductions of up to 75% in procurement time and savings up to 59% in some cases, with average negotiated savings of 13%. The company says the typical negotiation previously took about seven hours at a cost of R$400, and aims to onboard 200 more companies this year and transact more than R$240 million in goods and services. Membran-i plans further technological innovation in AI and expects to open a Series A round by the end of the year if targets are met.
