Membrane Labs builds a modular technology platform for institutional digital-asset trading and financing. Its platform provides enterprise-grade tools to manage and settle OTC spot, derivatives, lending, and collateral-management activity. Lenders can extend credit using assets held in centralized exchange accounts as collateral, and prime brokers can offer margin trading by cross-collateralizing fiat and crypto holdings across custodial accounts, exchanges, and derivatives portfolios. The technology also enables custodians to establish OTC derivatives offerings on top of existing custody networks as an alternative to centralized derivatives exchanges. Membrane intends to use the funding to expand its customizable technology suite tailored for institutions active in spot, derivatives, or lending activities. The senior leadership team is led by CEO Carson Cook and includes former Galaxy Digital and Goldman Sachs professionals in key roles.
