Memento Medicines
Chester, Cheshire, United Kingdom, Europe
Overview
Memento Medicines’ lead program is MMT-205, a bispecific antibody that simultaneously activates Tie2 and inhibits VEGF, being developed for neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) and diabetic macular edema (DME). Preclinical data from the licensors indicate MMT-205 produces greater Tie2 activation and improved retinal vascular integrity compared with current therapies. The company obtained worldwide rights to MMT-205 through an exclusive license from MabTics and Curacle, which included upfront cash and equity plus potential milestones and tiered royalties. Memento was founded in 2026 as the fifth subsidiary of Sera Medicines, RA Capital’s biologics accelerator. The company raised $93 million in a Series A to support IND-enabling studies, with clinical trials anticipated to start in 2027.
