Memeoirs converts personal digital conversations and email threads into beautifully bound, physical books using automated fetching and parsing algorithms. The startup has already turned emails pulled from Gmail and Hotmail/Outlook.com into books and is moving into Facebook messages and other social channels. It secured a $300,000 investment from Pozzoni Group to create books out of Facebook conversations, with other social services planned to follow. Memeoirs is also receiving up to €200,000 in equity-free matching funds from the Autonomous Province of Trento to match the Pozzoni round. The company emerged from Startup Chile and most recently went through the Northern Italian accelerator TechPeaks and Seedcamp Week. Indirect competitors cited include Pastbook, Shutterfly, and Mixbook, which focus on photos rather than conversation-based books.
