Mentessa is a skills discovery platform that connects employees for mentoring, learning, and collaboration across hybrid organizations. For 2024 the company aims for market leadership in the DACH region, team growth, and to close an investment round to support international expansion. Mentessa builds a people-first platform that connects employees and organisations for skill-based know-how exchange, mentoring, and informal collaboration. The app uses smart algorithms to help colleagues find the right peer at the right time and overcome psychological and hierarchical barriers. It positions itself as a 'people layer' alternative to tools like Slack, aiming to foster authentic, inclusive collaboration across organisational boundaries. Founded in 2019 by Tina Ruseva and Andrey Andreev and headquartered in Munich, the startup has been in operation for about a year and counts Deutsche Telekom, Linde, and OTPbank among early clients. The company recently raised €1 million in seed funding to improve employee onboarding and engagement. Its stated mission is to remove barriers to diversity and collaboration and scale peer-led learning and connection across remote and hybrid workforces.
