Mentra builds an AI-powered neuroinclusive employment platform that parses job descriptions and matches candidates to roles based on neurotype, aptitude and environmental sensitivities. The Charlotte, North Carolina–based startup was launched in 2022 by three autistic co-founders led by CEO Jhillika Kumar. Its talent pool has grown from 300 jobseekers in March 2022 to over 33,000 today, and the platform has signed over a dozen companies and partnered with 30+ universities and 200+ service providers. Mentra reports a one-year retention rate of 97.5% and says over 70% of its data is not collected by traditional job platforms. The company transitioned from a services per-hire model to a scalable SaaS offering earlier this year, with 67% of that new SaaS revenue being annual recurring revenue and an internal goal to hit $3 million in SaaS ARR by the end of 2024. Mentra is also building a neuroinclusion marketplace for service providers and plans a future marketplace of tailored services for neurodivergent workers such as bootcamps and job coaches.
