Merge VR makes virtual reality headsets that work with both Apple and Android smartphones. The company recently announced its purple Merge VR Goggles will roll out at Target stores across the U.S. and are also available at GameStop, Amazon.com, BestBuy.com, NewEgg.com, B&H Photo, GAMR.co.uk and MergeVR.com. The headsets retail for $79. Merge VR lists Geekdom as its headquarters in San Antonio and is co-founded by Andrew Trickett and Franklin Lyons, who serves as CEO. Lew Moorman, a former Rackspace executive now involved in Tech Bloc, is listed as a director of the company. According to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Merge VR raised $10 million.
