Meta Data Software provides a SaaS platform that catalogs content libraries and supplements titles with rich metadata — cast and crew, synopses, content IDs, legal and licensing information. Its technology includes a user-friendly data-management interface and AI tools that automate tasks such as filling missing data, cutting work like market-launch preparation from 75 minutes to five seconds. The company says those efficiencies have saved customers more than $10 million annually compared with manual data management. Meta serves catalog-owning clients including MGM, Fox, WarnerMedia and Epix. Founded in London in 2018, the company is moving its headquarters to Los Angeles and occupies a niche in the media supply chain. Ownership recently changed when a group led by Rob Delf paid $3 million for a majority stake; Delf has become CEO and founder Robin Tucker moved to chief product officer. Over the next 18 months Meta plans to find more studio and streamer customers and hire customer support, sales and account-management staff.
