Overview
MetaCX provides a third-party platform that lets customers, suppliers and other partners communicate and collaborate within shared ecosystems. Customers use the platform to coordinate on objectives such as sustainability goals and social-impact efforts, including mental-health and equity initiatives. Launched out of the High Alpha venture studio in December 2018, MetaCX operated in stealth until mid-2020 when it launched commercially. CEO Scott McCorkle said the company has "dozens" of paying customers and about 40 employees, but declined to disclose revenue figures. Financially, MetaCX has raised $33.6M in total capital to date and previously used a line of credit with Silicon Valley Bank that is nearly paid off. The company recently took a $5.1M convertible-note angel round to extend runway through next year and expects to complete its next institutional round sometime next year. MetaCX is building a white‑labeled, API‑embeddable platform that sits above digital products to monitor and manage customer relationships, outcomes, collaboration and engagement metrics. Its dashboard surfaces outcomes, tracked metrics and collaborative elements that tie suppliers and buyers to promised results. The founding team includes Scott McCorkle, Jake Miller and David Duke, all alumni of ExactTarget and Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The company is a spin‑out from High Alpha Studio and is based in Indianapolis. MetaCX has dozens of customers using its pilot and plans to launch its first offerings at the beginning of 2019. Financially, the company has raised $14 million to fund product development and early commercial rollout.
