Metafin operates a solar financing model paired with a distribution and servicing arm and a network of over 1,000 local installers to deploy and maintain systems. The company targets rural MSMEs and households, financing productive-use solar systems and enabling transitions from diesel-based power. Metafin reports having financed over 6,500 solar projects across more than 4,000 villages in five states, helping offset over 30 million kilograms of CO₂ and displace around 11 million litres of diesel. It partners with financial institutions such as SBI, Northern Arc, and AU Small Finance Bank and is backed by investors including Vertex Ventures SEAI, Prime Venture Partners, and Varanium Capital. With the new $10 million structured debt facility from Lendable’s Transportation and Energy Fund, Metafin intends to expand its financing reach into underserved regions. The company was founded by Sandeep Chopra and Aditya Shah.
