Metal Morph

Flat 1, 24 Ashmere Grove, London, England, SW2 5UJ, United Kingdom

Overview

Founded in 2025, Metal Morph develops an infrastructure-as-a-service solution to recover and reuse industrial materials and spent treatment chemicals from municipal and industrial wastewater. Its initial technology targets recovery of aluminium- and iron-based treatment chemicals, enabling reuse within water treatment processes to create a circular supply loop. The company has completed more than 50 live tests across three drinking water treatment plants, reporting recovery of up to 90% of spent treatment chemicals at 95% purity, a 26% reduction in coagulation-related operating costs and an 89% reduction in emissions associated with coagulant procurement. Metal Morph is working with six UK water utilities that together represent 56% of the UK water market and is pursuing pilots with industrial partners. The company plans to expand its technology to recover standalone metals from industrial wastewater and mining tailings and is exploring demonstrations in European markets, including Estonia, while engaging with Belgian utility Aquafin. Its recent pre-seed funding and Ofwat grant are being deployed to further develop the technology, roll out industry pilots and continue utility validation.
