Metanautix

2595 E Bayshore Rd Ste 200, Palo Alto, California, 94303, United States

Overview

Metanautix develops software that enables data scientists and analysts to access and analyze massive datasets across disparate repositories using a SQL-centric interface. The product emphasizes connecting silos of information without forcing data migration, supporting photos, video, audio and text. The founders are two former Google and Facebook data scientists, including Theo Vassilakis (lead engineer for Google’s Dremel) and Apostolos Lerios. The company spent two years in development funded by outside investors and used the round to build out staff prior to product launch. Metanautix emerged from stealth with roughly half a dozen beta customers, the largest being HP. The company plans to release its first product for general availability before the end of the year.
