MetGen develops enzymatic products designed to improve efficiency in the pulp and paper and biofuels industries and to remove toxic micro-pollutants from wastewater. Founded in 2006 by Alex Michine (CEO), the company is based in Kaarina, Finland. It is running industrial trials with several European partners. MetGen plans to market its solutions across Europe (Scandinavia, Germany, France) and in North America. The company raised €2.2m in funding and intends to use the proceeds for commercial roll-out and the development of new products.
