METiS Technologies combines artificial intelligence and nanomaterial science to create and optimize delivery systems for therapeutics. The company has developed three proprietary platforms: AiLNP for nucleic acid delivery design, AiRNA for mRNA sequence optimization, and AiTEM for small-molecule formulation. METiS launched the OpenCGT platform to bridge academic research, hospitals, and biotech companies and to accelerate clinical translation of cell and gene therapies. Its inaugural OpenCGT project supports AccurEdit Therapeutics in developing a liver-targeted CRISPR gene-editing therapy using mRNA-LNP delivery. The company plans to use new capital to upgrade automation on its proprietary platform, build an in-house pipeline, expand global partnerships, and recruit world-class talent. METiS was founded by a team of MIT-trained scientists and targets applications across cancer, metabolic and autoimmune disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases.
