Berlin-based Metiundo develops and operates an all-in-one platform that covers planning, installation, operation and data processing for smart electricity, heat and water meters in residential and commercial buildings. The company’s proprietary software ingests cross-sector measurement data, linking consumption and on-site generation such as solar or batteries to enable data-driven optimisation and add-on services. Metiundo differentiates itself by owning its entire software stack, giving it greater flexibility and quality than incumbent metering point operators. Founded in 2021 by Dennis Nasrun and Felix Mücke, the firm employs about 70 people. Its solution supports Germany’s urgent push for a nationwide smart-meter rollout and the decarbonisation of the building sector. The newly raised capital will be channelled into scaling installations, further developing the software platform and hiring additional specialists in software development, installation and operations.
