Metrist provides third-party observability that continuously tests and verifies external cloud services from 21 cloud regions across AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure. The platform gathers telemetry via an agent or eBPF, covers more than 100 services out of the box, and lets customers run hosted or in-app tests that go beyond simple HTTP checks. Tests can perform end-to-end verification (for example, creating an object and later calling the retrieval API to confirm timing and success). Alerts are highly configurable and can be routed to Slack, email, Datadog, PagerDuty or custom webhooks. Metrist aims to be a neutral, third-party validator referenced in SLAs and contracts to settle disputes over uptime and service degradation. The company offers a free plan (monitor up to three services with one day of retention) and paid plans starting at $99/month for seven services and seven days of retention.
