Mickey has built a digital platform to simplify sourcing and exporting for traders, customers, and suppliers of hard goods. The company is initially focused on forest products traders with plans to expand into other categories. Mickey provides working capital, logistical expertise, and an organized marketplace that handles matching, transacting, and exporting for small and medium producers. In 2020 the platform shipped 2,800 containers (5,600 TEUs) that may have otherwise returned empty. The team says the product aims to rebalance global trade disparities and boost U.S. exports by opening global markets to suppliers lacking capital or logistics capacity. Forest products expert Alex Meyers joined the company as Director of Operations.
