Microneedles develops and manufactures bioresorbable microneedles designed to deliver active ingredients and pharmaceutical substances into the epidermis to a controlled depth. The company launched a commercial project in 2014 and established a project company in 2015, which became a Skolkovo resident a year later. Its commercial brand BLOM markets anti‑aging microneedle patches and applicators that reduce procedure time to 20–25 minutes versus several hours for some foreign alternatives; the company has released 10 BLOM microneedle products for different facial and body zones. Microneedles has patented the microneedles themselves, its manufacturing platform, and the fabrication method, and is working to register its microneedle applicators as medical devices in the U.S. The team is testing products for postoperative skin rehabilitation after blepharoplasty and mammoplasty and plans to introduce solutions for combined dermatological protocols. Recently received investment will be used for foreign registrations, production expansion, additional patenting, and launching new products.
