Unit G1, Capital House 61 Amhurst Road, London, England, E8 1LL, United Kingdom
Overview
Mihaibao is a London-headquartered B2C marketplace that helps Chinese consumers purchase Western luxury goods and maintains an office in Shanghai. Founded in 2014, the platform offers access to around 200 Western brands and designers and accepts payment in yuan. The service aims to cut the high costs and logistical friction of ordering luxury Western products into China. Mihaibao positions itself to bridge cultural differences in online shopping behaviour between China and Western markets to help Western merchants reach Chinese buyers. The company has raised a $1.6M seed round and previously received funding and support from the UK government, PayPal, and the British Royal Family. Co-founders are Jacqueline J. Lam, Dainius Dulinskas, and Jonas Simkus; Alastair Mitchell is joining as chairman and investor.
