MilkyWay designs, manufactures and sells bike-trial and extreme-sports equipment through an e-commerce platform dedicated to biketrials. Its online catalog includes bikes, frames, wheels, forks, brakes, drivetrain components, clothing and various spare parts. The company was founded in 2011 and is based in Modena, Italy. MilkyWay intends to expand its product range across the broader extreme sports market, including kitesurfing, downhill biking and parkour. It also plans to develop its online community, called Milky Tribe. Initially supported by angel investors and the Democenter-Sipe technology transfer centre, MilkyWay participated in the SeedLab acceleration program in 2012.
