The service emphasizes a coherent consumer experience and small-group sharing, positioning itself as an alternative to Google and Dropbox. Users on the free tier get 10GB of storage, and paid plans start at $7.99 per month. The team started building the product in 2010 and the company is New York-based. MiMedia plans to use the new funds to accelerate growth and support global distribution partnerships; it is piloting its platform in select RadioShack locations and plans a national RadioShack launch later in the year.
