Mind Pirate develops games and a game platform designed to exploit features of current smartphones and tablets as well as next‑generation mobile wearable devices such as Google Glass. The company builds technology to allow players to perceive and interact with the physical environment, and its first title is scheduled to launch on iOS and Android this fall. Mind Pirate also plans to make its technology engine, Callisto, available to third‑party developers next year. The startup emerged from stealth after acquiring game company Twyngo soon after its October 2012 founding. Leadership includes CEO Shawn Hardin and senior technical and production staff including Unni Narayanan, Michael Fu and Harold Sun. The company raised $2.5M in funding to support these product and platform plans.
