Mindgrove Technology, founded in 2021 by Shashwath T R and Sharan Srinivas J, is Chennai-based and incubated at IIT Madras. The company designs System-on-Chips under the Mindgrove Silicon brand aimed at delivering power-efficient, cost-effective performance for IoT, vision, automotive and other constrained-power applications. Mindgrove has developed a series of three SoCs targeted at edge signal processing and vision workloads. Their SoCs are based on the industrial-grade Shakti core microprocessor developed at the RISE Lab at IIT Madras under the Digital India RISC-V program funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The firm says its chips prioritize low power while maintaining best-in-class performance for use cases such as automotive, consumer electronics, industrial automation, security and aviation. Mindgrove competes with firms including Applied Materials, TSMC India, Micron Technology and Solex Energy.
