MindLabs is an app-first mental wellness platform delivering on-demand videos and daily live classes, supported by community features. MindLabs plans a public launch in Q1 2022, initially in the United Kingdom before expanding to the United States and non-English speaking countries. The team intends to offer affordable subscription plans and eventually release hardware (e.g., an EEG headband) and integrate biomarker tracking like heart rate and breathing to tailor content. MindLabs is developing a mobile-first, video-led mental wellness platform that pairs live and on-demand classes from mental health professionals with community features to boost engagement. The company plans to launch its mobile app next year and to ship a complementary EEG headband called “Halo” that measures brain waves, heart rate, respiration and muscle tension. Halo was developed with a hardware specialist and will undergo ISO 13485 certification; MindLabs expects its price to be comparable to an Apple Watch. Classes will be organized around real-life issues (for example anxiety, relationships or work stress) and include live metrics, concurrent user counts and achievement feeds to build accountability and retention. MindLabs says it will monetize via monthly and yearly subscriptions and is “firmly against any form of data commercialization,” using collected data only to personalize content. The company was founded earlier this year by Adnan Ebrahim and Gabor Szedlak and is based in London; it raised a pre-seed round in 2020 to support product development.
