Mindwork Labs is the company behind the discount website MyDeals and is building a new publisher monetization Software-as-a-Service toolkit. MyDeals launched three months ago and recorded more than 200,000 unique users last month. The company plans to use the new product to increase user engagement by pushing relevant content and to enable publishers to generate significant revenue without expensive in-house development. The fresh capital will primarily fund the stealthy platform’s go-to-market, including acquiring a relevant single-word domain and a marketing push. Mindwork Labs recently acquired Premier Content Links (a five-person marketing outfit) and brought its founder, 19-year-old Will Roberts, in as head of marketing; the deal was reported to be in the five-figure bracket. The acquisition increases Mindwork Labs’ headcount to 12; further operational and financial details were not disclosed in the article.
