MiniBrew develops a fully automated beer-brewing appliance that combines all brewing processes including fermentation and is controlled via a mobile app. The system uses a smart keg to brew, store, and serve beer. MiniBrew sells the unit for €1,199; an additional smart keg costs €349 and a set of three ingredient packages is €90. The company says it has customers in 30 countries and expects to start shipping a new batch of devices in June 2019. The Utrecht-founded startup has raised €2.6 million from undisclosed investors. It plans to expand across the EU in 2019 and enter North and South American markets in 2020.
