Overview

Minomic International develops the MiCheck® in vitro diagnostic test for early detection of prostate cancer and is advancing its proprietary MIL-38 monoclonal antibody for imaging and therapeutic use. The MiCheck® test uses Glypican-1 and other biomarkers and has been shown in clinical trials to be more than twice as specific as PSA screening, producing about 1.5 false positives per 10 samples versus 6 per 10 for PSA. The company is preparing to globally launch MiCheck® and is focused on achieving a licensing outcome for the test in the near term. Minomic plans a prospective trial of MiCheck® to be conducted in early 2017 and is running a first-in-human trial of MIL-38 at Macquarie University’s Private Hospital in Macquarie Park, Sydney. The company is seeking partnerships with larger pharmaceutical and diagnostic partners to produce, register and distribute MiCheck® and to collaborate on diagnostic imaging and therapeutic applications of MIL-38. Recent fundraising will support commercialisation, the planned trials, and advancement of other therapeutic opportunities arising from its monoclonal antibody technologies.
