Mirada Medical develops software that helps clinicians use medical images to diagnose and treat cancer, with applications in radiology, molecular imaging, radiation oncology and multidisciplinary clinical meetings. Its products are sold directly and via a network of healthcare companies such as Varian, GE, McKesson, Siemens and Vital Images. The software is used at cancer centres and hospitals worldwide, including Oxford Cancer Centre, Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, MD Anderson, Johns Hopkins, Memorial Sloan Kettering and UCLA. The company was founded in 2001 and is led by CEO Hugh Bettesworth, operating from Oxford, UK and Denver, CO. Mirada plans to expand product distribution worldwide and accelerate product development by adding scientific and engineering staff at its Oxford headquarters. Recently it received additional funding to support those growth and development plans.
