miros develops physical workpods and an accompanying hardware and software platform, including a mobile app to locate, book and access pods. The company has designed pods in collaboration with Lausanne furniture brand Lakabi and manufactures them fully in Switzerland, with a project to build a version from Swiss wood supported by the Canton of Vaud. Since founding in 2023 and spinning out of the EPFL ecosystem, miros has deployed 15 units and logged nearly 350 hours of usage, with customers including SwissTech Convention Centre, Beaulieu, Hôpital Riviera-Chablais and a deployment at Village by Crédit Agricole in Toulouse. Its stated ambition is to make commercial real estate flexible, modular and on-demand, using the pod as a first building block. miros plans to scale its footprint across Switzerland and aims to reach more than 100 pods by the end of 2026.
