Mitoconix Bio

Ramon Ilan 2, Ness Ziona, Israel

Overview

Mitoconix Bio is developing disease‑modifying therapies that target mitochondrial dysfunction for neurodegenerative diseases. Its lead program, MTC-1203, is a selective inhibitor of excessive mitochondrial division and has demonstrated efficacy in mouse models of Huntington’s and Parkinson’s diseases. The company plans to advance MTC-1203 through preclinical and clinical development for Huntington’s disease and to expand its therapeutic pipeline to additional neurodegenerative indications. Mitoconix’s program is based on scientific discoveries from founder Daria Mochly‑Rosen and her Stanford team, and the company exclusively licensed the technology from Stanford University. Led by CEO Dr. Eyal Neria, Mitoconix was established in August 2016 at the FutuRx incubator and is based in Ness Ziona, Israel. It raised financing to support development and pipeline expansion.
