MMI designs and produces small and medium buses and is undertaking a technological shift toward zero-emission vehicles. Backed by new capital, the 70-person company is developing three electric bus variants—low-entry, low-floor, and standard-floor—along with an electric minibus powered by a hydrogen fuel cell. Its R&D effort includes a lightweight skeletal-laminate composite body and hub-integrated synchronous motors to boost range and reliability. Current plans call for building a modern production hall that will let MMI double its vehicle output. The company aims to strengthen its Polish market position and expand sales in Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, and Scandinavia. Historically focused on diesel and compressed natural gas models, MMI is now channeling €7.7 million of fresh funding into zero-emission drive technology, chassis and body innovation, and capacity expansion. This investment underpins its goal to supply some of the first European-made electric and hydrogen minibuses.
