Overview
Mobify provides progressive web apps (PWAs) and related commerce solutions that deliver a unified customer experience across mobile web and apps. The Mobify Platform builds customer relationships through push notifications and store drivers and serves retailers and brands including Lancôme, Crabtree & Evelyn, Paula’s Choice, Carnival Cruise Line, London Drugs, Burlington, PureFormulas, Superdry, Columbia, eXtra Electronics and ThinkGeek. Established in 2007 and based in Vancouver, the company also has offices in Chicago and Reading, UK. It raised a follow-on financing of undisclosed size in 2017 that, combined with prior investments, brings total funding to $15m. Backers in the latest round included Vistara Capital Partners, Impulse International (a subsidiary of Kuwait Investment Authority), Dallas-based Comerica Bank and technology industry investors; the financing builds on recent investments from Acton Capital, BDC Capital and Plaza Ventures. The company intends to use the funds to expand key partnerships and accelerate PWA and other solution innovation to improve customer experience, increase engagement and drive purchases. Mobify offers a unified mobile customer engagement platform that combines Progressive Mobile web and apps with engagement marketing features like push notifications and store traffic drivers. The company launched its Mobify Platform in May 2016 to replace isolated point solutions and claims more implementations of Google-backed Progressive Web Apps than other mobile commerce vendors. In 2016 Mobify posted a record year of sales, added enterprise customers including Lancôme and Carnival Cruise Line, expanded its partner ecosystem, and integrated technology from acquisitions such as Dónde. The company was first to market on several mobile technologies including PWAs, the Payment Request API, and web push notifications. Leadership additions and promotions were announced alongside the product and partner expansion. The business emphasizes driving immediate revenue and conversion lifts for customers through mobile-centric experiences. Mobify is a Vancouver, Canada–based mobile customer engagement platform that helps retailers engage mobile customers via real-time interactions. Its technology supports mobile web and native applications, push messaging, location-based marketing and other mobile engagement capabilities. The company serves 150 enterprise customers, including Ann Taylor, Crocs, Carnival Cruises, Bosch, Superdry, Eddie Bauer, Tommy Bahama and Beyond the Rack. Led by CEO Igor Faletski, Mobify raised a $10M funding round led by Munich-based Acton Capital Partners. In conjunction with the funding, Hannes Blum of Acton Capital Partners and Mark Organ, founder and CEO of Influitive, joined Mobify’s board. The company intends to use the funds to accelerate delivery of new technologies and adoption of its platform.
